Going beer shopping Saturday

Post by Kealia »

I went to bottle a bomber from my 5G last night and it blew.
I then picked up the 2.5G in the kegerator next to it and it feels like it will blow within the next couple of pours. I have a couple of Kolsch's left that I'm going to let lager for another month or so and my Nelson Sauvin PA just got on gas yesterday so it's about 10 - 12 days away from being ready.

The point is that I'm in need (ok, want) of a few beers for next week so I'm going out to one of out better stores on Saturday to pick up a few.
In mind right now I'm thinking:
Stone GoTo IPA
Firestone Walker Easy Jack
Levitation

I'm feeling a bit like a kid in a candy store and I'm not even there yet.

I'm in the same boat, low on home brew and new beer just came to the Ga market. Going out tomorrow to pick up Boulevard's Grain Storm, and Stone Sprocketbier if there's any left. I just had the Stone Go To ipa and it was amazing stuff, like a grapefruit bomb :jumpy:

Ohh, good choices...

I am just the opposite... outside of aging beers, I'm nearly out of commercial beers. However, I have managed to half my homebrew supply, but still have way too much homebrew. Of course, I'm working the Funk Fest this weekend, and if the past is any indication, I'll come home with a case of funkiness, so I think I'll hold off on major purchases. I am attending a Cool Springs Brewery event tomorrow afternoon (they've been debuting their bottles over the last week), so I guess that might be my exception.

Ah, I thought it was just broken on my one computer. It still shows on my laptop so it must be cached there.

Also thinking about:
FW Double Barrel Ale
Deschuetes Fresh Squeezed IPA
Anchor's new Saison
Kona Big Wave

So many options....

Saturday was a good shopping day!

Here's one of each beer that I brought home. My buddy and I split the sixers and then bought a couple of bombers, too:

I was going to pick up a sixer of Levitation to go with it but they didn't have any. Oh well, guess I'll have to find time to brew that one!

It's also almost time for Widmer's Citra Blonde. Yum. I love summer beers.

Guilty your honor. We don't get any Firestone Walker here except what my friends send me. I'll be in Cali in June and will definitely get my fair share of some. Don't know if I will be able to take anything home.
