The best BIAB bag

Although you don't need a mash ton or other things to do BIAB, you still need the right sfuff to brew it right!

The best BIAB bag

Post by Beer-lord »

I've got one from here, http://biabbags.webs.com/
and one from here, http://www.bagbrewer.com/order-a-bag.html
Both are made to fit your kettle and ship out in 1-2 days.
I prefer the one from the latter since it has handles but both these bags really hold the wort and you need work to squeeze all the liquid out. So, I got these....

Good idea BL. I use paint strainers, and squeeze them by putting in a colander and pressing with a plate. I also use paint strainers to strain hops and break out of the wort. That requires some manipulation, as they quickly clog.

Never mind, there it is.

I have these same gloves (use them for my smoker)... Never even occurred to me to use them for bag squeezing. Thanks for the idea!

For $18 bucks and free 2 day shipping I can use them for brewing and Q'ing.
And I've never gotten tannins from squeezing. I think of it as hugging my grains. (That's what she said)

I use the bag in the second link, works like a charm and I like the handles too. Those gloves look like they might be of interest to me as well!

My Local Home Brew store. The Simple Brewer here in Somers NY sells great Nylon bags as good or better than what we see here for $7.99/ea. fits easily over my 42 Qt pot. It's a steal. Contact Greg the owner. Easy to ship. Made 5 or 6 brews already & the bag is like brand new. Tell him Uncle Steve Sent you! :flag:

He knows it but he just denies it...and hides behind his brewing equipment ......it seems to make him feel needed.
