Samsung Galaxy Tab3.7

Post by Gymrat »

I just switched from Verizon to AT&T. I went with a 2 year contract and a Galaxy S4. They told me they had a special where if I buy a samsung phone I get a tab3 "free". I have been wanting one for a while but knew there had to be a catch. Later I found out the catch was another $10 a month on my bill.Of course the first thing I did was a price check. They are $199. Meaning around $220 after sales tax. So for $20 some more over 2 years I can use it where there is no wifi available. I was good with that and took it. I absolutely love it. I use it on my breaks at work where there is no wifi and love it for sitting in the back yard over coffee or beer. The 7 inch screen is just big enough for reading books or magazines yet small enough to fit in the side pockets of my cargo pants.

Of course beersmith2 and brewcalcs were the first apps that I put on it. It was nice using it when I brewed last weekend. My recipe was right there for weighing my grain and the timer was great for adding my hops.

That's great Roger. I use an iPad and it is great to be able to have it right next to you with BeerSmith running while you brew. I take it with me to the LHBS with the recipe on it. Then just go down the list of ingredients while shopping.

Cool beans on the Galaxy Tab Roger!

Both iPad and Androids here...

Use the iPad with Beersmith Mobile for brewing while playing tunes with Pandora.

Usually on the forum and checking email/texts at the same time too by switching through apps.

Pretty cool!

Good deal, just be careful on the data usage - sounds like you're not grandfathered into unlimited data. Some things chew up a lot.
I have over 9,000 posts on "another forum", which means absolutely nothing. Mr. Beer January 2014 Brewer of the Month with all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it...
