You just have a tender heart, Amy, and that's a virtue. The dog couldn't help what it was, and while it's necessary for it to be put down, it's still sad, I agree.

I'm glad the little boy wasn't more seriously injured, and that cat is definitely a keeper.

It just goes to show that in the dog world there are violent criminals just as there are in the human world. The dog isn't going to get so much what it deserves but it's going to get what it needs. In both worlds it is, sometimes, the only way to put an end to certain individual's violent tendencies.
