Groomsman's Pride - Take 2

This is a little young, but it's been in the bottle for two weeks, so I figured I could chill four bottles and see what I think.

It's a good beer, I think. Sort of an Amber IPA, if such a thing is possible, and while it's cloudier than I'd like, it's green, and what I'm drinking hasn't chilled for more than 30 hours, at the most.

Good hop presence, with citrus being predominant. The malt also stands up to it, so there's flavor, and not just bitterness. Good head retention and lacing. A real kick when you swallow, and a finish that doesn't quit. The Centennial earthiness lingers in the finish, which is a real positive for me.

High ABV (8.6%), but no alcohol hotness. A beer to sip, without a doubt.

I'm going to let the rest of this batch sit for awhile to warm condition some more, and I also have to get the groom to try it and see what his evaluation is.

But this is a pretty good beer, IMO. I wouldn't be embarrassed to make a gift of this.
