Troegs Perpetual IPA

Post by Beer-lord »

myhorselikesbeer sent me this very nice IPA when we swapped RCE beers. Oohhhhh, me likes!

I never would have guessed the base malt was . Much closer to a high end IPA instead. Its very smooth, starts outs with a medium bite and just as you are expecting it to clamp down on your taste buds, it eases and ends clean and semi sweet. Can't be too much Munich in it as it's a pretty yellow with almost no orange hue that Munich normally gives.
I've never had a Troegs anything but now that I've tried this, I will have to look for other beers by this brewery as this one is really nice!

Thanks BL. I haven't had their IPA, but love Nugget Nectar, an IPA masquerading as an amber.
Making beer and stew for the Zombie Apocalypse.
Never mind, there it is.

Yeah, the Nugget Nectar is real good, but the Perpetual IPA is better I think...

Their Dreamweaver Hefe is very tasty...

But my favorite is their Java Head Stout!

Troeggs be doing it up right for sure...

I agree Troegs is a very good brewery, too bad now that I live in Kentucky and not Virginia I can't get it here! Dream Weaver is great and Mad Elf is a classic

Forgot about Mad Elf... And Sunshine Pils... And the Anthologies...

Oh yeah, La Grave, their bottle and caged series Tripple... Can't wait to find some of that!
