MONTUCKY BREWING
Actively brewing since December 2013Re: What are you brewing/bottling?
Decided to brew this evening so I'm doing another 5G batch of Levitation. It's time!
Re: What are you brewing/bottling?
Funny you post that Ron, I was thinking to myself yesterday that it's time to brew it again.
Hoping today to keg a cider that I made back in September. OG was 1.067? or a little higher (hydrometer bottomed out in the tube, got lazy and didn't get the other one), FG is at 0.996. So it's north of 9% is scary smooth and drinks like slight apple flavored water.
Also checked the FG on my RIS I brewed two weeks ago. OG of 1.105 and it's at 1.028 as of yesterday, so about 10%. I'll check it next week and if it's still there I'll rack it to a keg for extensive secondary conditioning until December or later. If the sample I tasted is an indication of the finished product, it's gonna be pretty darn good.

Re: What are you brewing/bottling?
Bottled the Lime Cerveza this morning, and I'm looking forward to pairing it with some good grilling and BBQ this summer!
Currently brewing, even as I type this, the Rushin' Pale Ale. First hop addition in, and chillin' while I wait for the flavor addition.

Re: What are you brewing/bottling?
Just finished brewing up a batch of Saison with ginger. Kinda different, 3 step mash (109 F, 143 F, then 153 F), and many additions late in the boil of freshly grated ginger. Once it's cooled down a bit more, gonna pitch my last pack of Danstar Belle Saison yeast in the fermenter.

Bottled my RCE brew today. Really nice plum and apple notes
Re: What are you brewing/bottling?
Well I brought my second Berliner to a boil Friday evening, it's fermenting away. I'm so stupid though, forgot to take an OG lol, that's what I get for inviting my buddy over to help brew and having a couple of beers during the process.

Just finished bottling a 5er of my Bengal in the Rye

I will drain that glass again.

Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

brewing my "Peu Glorieux Saison" with some Nelson Sauvin hops. Smells amazing!

Re: What are you brewing/bottling?
Bottling up the summer seasonal (yes, from 2013). Then, while the wife is on vacation, will be brewing up an all grain version of my Clutter Buster all nugget brew to use up some hops poundage I've acquired. Reason I have waited this long to try it as an all grain is it is one of SWMBOs favorites, so if I mess it up I can just call it something different and replace it with a quickie extract batch. Shhhhhhhh....

Re: What are you brewing/bottling?
This weekend I'm planning on brewing a Gumbalhead clone recipe that I got from somebody on here (sorry I can't remember who it was!).
Re: What are you brewing/bottling?
Bottled my Grodziskie today... Finally...
Since I have some Wyeast 1007, Pilsener, 6-row, Munich and Chocolate malts, I think I might put together a Northern German Altbier... Probably have some Horizon I could use for bittering... Might lay a touch of Saaz or Tettenager in near the end just to give it a bit more character...
