I wasn't sure if this was a pale ale or a session IPA, but putting my fears aside, I pushed on anyway
.It pours very light colored, almost like a wheat bee without the haze or like a pilsner would. Looking at the grain bill now, it's just 2-row, C-24 and some Victory so it makes sense that it's so light in color.
The aroma is definitely there. A 'hoppy session ale' is a great description because it doesn't leave you wanting for anything in terms of aroma. The taste is similar to other recent session IPAs that I've had: Crisp, light , hop flavor without being overly bitter. I'd place this behind Firestone Walker's Easy Jack, but right inline, if not above Stone's GoTo. And cans....sweet. If I had these locally I would put these in my backpack for trips fo' sho!
