co2 and beer

I just kicked a Porter and hooked up another. I looked and saw beer from keg going into the co2 ine. I disconected and purged beer and rehooked... same issue. Anyone run into this issue before?

I have heard of that. But usually it happens to people who roll their kegs to get them to carbonate faster.

Is there anyway to put in a one-way valve into the line running from the CO2 tank to the keg inlet? I know when I was working for a welding supply company, they had such a thing for the hoses on oxyacetylene torches.

Is it possible that the pressure in your new keg is higher than the psi you have your regulator set to? That could cause the pressure to back up into the CO2 line/regulator if there's no check value (I'm not sure what those are actually called).

Had it happen once, connected the tank/line to a keg that had pressure, with none coming out the regulator. Make sure you disconnect the line and clean it out if possible. Old beer in a line will go bad and moldy with time.

Thanks for the replies... I naturaly carbed the keg, 2 oz corn sugar. I vented the keg before hooking uo co2. The beer is in ine between co2 inlet and 1 way valve on manifold.
Just got home and had a thought. I may have overfilled the keg, I will pull a pint and check. it happens instantly when it happens.

Never thought about mold, should be easy to remedy once I cure initial issue.
