Well, I'm in the doghouse, again.....

Post by FrozenInTime »

Not my fault, honest. My loving wife *drags* me outside to watch for meteors. So I reluctantly went outside, it's freaking cold and windy out. Anyway, she was watching to the north looking for the meteors and I was gazing south in a mild stupor, enjoying my buzz. I'll be darned if a nice meteor with a nice long tail lit up the sky! It was SOOOOO fast I could not yell look south. It was there, then gone. OK, now my wife is not happy with me... I was not interested and she is so excited about seeing one. We take a walk down our driveway into the open, it is so dark out we had to hold hands just to know we, or me, was still there with here. It is DARK, no moon. I love it that way. Anywayz, we stand at the end of the drive in the open and counted 14 off in the distance. None of them were big with tails, but still they counted. Finally my wife is happy to see them. She is just a tad bumbed that I saw the real nice one, but, isn't my fault, I swear... she thinks I planned it that way, but honest!!!

It is supposed to be at it's finest tonight after 1am, so I am going to stay up and keep watch. If they start showing like they think it might, I will wake her so she can see them. I hope it does, the doghouse is cold.

Anyone else enjoying the sights? It's cool as heck!! BIG thanks to my wife for.... uh ..... making me go outside. You rock babe!

(NO, I'm not drunk, just feeling good... LOL)

I love meteors, eclipses, all that. But it's rainy here. And I'm not staying up late for them anymore. I have seen some amazing ones though.

I woke up at 215am AZ time...did my bizness and went outside to check it out but I think I was too late to the party. Glad someone got to see some of them. Thanks for letting us know about tonight so I will check it out once it is dark here (bout 730P)...back when Hale-Bop comet was firing up the skies, SWMBO and I went north of the city and WOW, what a show that was.

The only stars I got to see here was after I told my wife that her sister looks great in a bikini.

Just think of what would have happened if you had told her her sister looks good out of her bikini.
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

So the sister looks great in a bikini but only good out of her bikini. Hmmm.... :worthless:
