Another Stone IPA

Post by Beer-lord »

They just can't stop even if it became a law. I can't find anything out on this one. Maybe it's another Anniversary IPA thing. Time will tell.

Yea, great marketing to get me to continually pull dollars out of my wallet when I brew my own. They are very successful with me!

I have to laugh with all the beers coming out of Stone these days though I smile because the great majority of them or IPA's. And, another collab.
Then you check to see if it will be available in your area and find out it is all over yet none of the places seem to get it until the rest of the country already has.

Beachwood / Heretic / Stone Unapologetic IPA
Asserts Itself on June 30
It should be no surprise to anyone that our latest release is a double IPA. Or were you actually expecting us to someday abandon the style with a "been there, done that" attitude? To shrug aside our long-enduring love affair with hops, saying the relationship has lost its spark? Hell, no! That, dear friends, would be a most un-Stonelike sentiment and something you'll never hear from us. Our new collaboration brew, Beachwood/Heretic/Stone Unapologetic IPA, offers a brazen rebuttal to the weak assertion that the world doesn't need another IPA.

Loaded with new hop varieties, including two that don't even have names yet—HBC 342 and Hopsteiner Experimental Hop #06300—this beer makes a strong argument with a melange of tropical fruit, berry, citrus, coconut and melon flavors complementing intense, signature Stone bitterness. You can read the rest of our rationale on the official Stone Collaborations page.

Beginning Monday, June 30, check out our snazzy beer finder to locate the retailer or bar near you where this audacious brew will arrive on the scene!

Nice job getting to the bottom of this one. Hopefully I'll be able to find one next week.

Well, that'll be next after I get thru Ruin Ten (assuming it's coming and going and not going to stay around).

And I used HBC 342 experimental hops back in late 2012 for a very mediocre version of Ruthless Rye I called Toothless Rye. Tho I can't tell you what they did :(

I saw this last night, too. For those that don't know - Heretic is Jamil's brewery.

Hmmm, I wonder if Heretic will be at the beer fest tomorrow.......<runs to go look>.

I wonder what it would take for them to allow some of us to brew/devise a beer for them?

Can you imagine members of the borg spending time in SD at Stone to devise, plan, prepare and brew beer? Next step to heaven fer sure.

I'm not sure how well that would be received. I picture some of us all sitting in a room working up a recipe and then hearing Mitch Steele scream: "Somebody stop that guy from rolling around in the hops!!"

I'm just not sure if that's Paul, Jeff or Chris doing it....

Too late I think.
Need more beer to cipher this shyte. Or maybe too much beer started this.
I quit drinking for the night and need to get my head together before my son comes home for a visit. I'm an elder for God's sake!

I love IPA's ... but I think the over saturated market of a bazillion types of IPA's is overkill. I love many of the craft IPA's out there ... but my favorite I make at home. All Simcoe.
