Covington Anyomous IPA

A very local beer but it needs some work.

Just about every beer I've made is better than this. Not bragging, just saying it like I see it.
The color is awesome and the legs are great and even the aroma is 75% good. The taste is just bitter and it's gone.
I won't go further except to say, the IRS could do a better job. I think I'll visit this brewery this summer and see what the deal is. The recipe looks pretty good but what is it about some small craft breweries that they all taste the same?

Grain bill looks interesting, hop schedule must be more like English IPA (more backend loaded). Less $pendy to get the bitterness that way, but you get less hop flavor of course. Which I know you are a fan of, hence the "meh" factor.

Probably would rate ok as a traditional English IPA though. Just not yer thing.
