I am lazy. I basically just fill the bottles to the line about where the headspace would be if there was "beer in it" and then fill it to the top with bleach and then walk away for a few hours. Whatever ratio that is works for me. (yes, I know that's highly scientific LOL).

I should say I do the above when an oxyclean soak doesn't work. Sometimes the oxyclean works, sometimes the bleach solution works. I find when one doesn't work the other one does. So far. *knocks on wood*.

Bottle brush isn't an option for me since I bottle in 740ML Coopers PETs. (the kind from Australia, not the kind from Mr. Beer, although I think maybe Mr. Beer sells them now too).

RE: skin issues, I find that PBW/One Step/Oxyclean don't give me a rash, where say Star San does. I think everyone is different in this regard, so you find what bugs you and don't use it.

Thankfully, none of the brewing cleaners or sanitizers give me a rash.
But I'm not about to start bathing in them. (Though maybe my wife would stop calling me a "Dirty Man". At least she smiles when she says it!)

Never mind, there it is.

I've left PBW in a MrB keg for a whole week to soak before with no adverse effects. It was mixed to the specs on the container.
Fill with mingled cream and amber,
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain.
Quaintest thoughts — queerest fancies,
Come to life and fade away:
What care I how time advances?
I am drinking ale today.
