Where is Haerbob?

Post by RickBeer »

When the women go missing, some of us get panicky (yes, you Dave). Haerbob is not only missing, but his ID is deleted. I think he is back under another userid, but let him confirm that.
I have over 9,000 posts on "another forum", which means absolutely nothing. Mr. Beer January 2014 Brewer of the Month with all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it...

I thought about him the other day then by the time I got to my computer, I'd forgot.
Hope he's doing and brewing well.

He works a lot during the summer months and doesn't come to the forums. He did that on the old MB site. He'll be back this fall.

This seems to be different. There is no "Haerbob" username. If you click on his username in an old post, you get: "The requested user does not exist". That means either he deleted his userid or admins deleted it for him.

Haerbob has left the BORG to due harassing emails. The is the same person that did it on the MR BEER site. He also has been working 70 plus hours a week & his health is failing due to spinal arthritis. His pain level is so high now that he passes out from the pain, and get very little sleep.

Thanks

And why???

I'm not sure about privacy levels here, I would have thought our email addresses were private...

Wishing him better health. Tough business to have spinal arthritis.

Please give him our best.

I do hope the administrators removed the offender's access from the forum.

You are correct about email addresses being private, but you can still send an email to a user through the forum. If you hover a user's name and select "E-mail [username]", you can send a message similar to a PM except it goes to their email address. At no time do you see the user's email address, but you can still send a message. This feature can be turned off in the user control panel by going to "Board preferences" and "Edit global settings". You can also turn off PMs there as well.

Thanks, that makes sense. Can the moderators track emails, like in this case where harassment is being charged?

I know those of you that were on the other site saw a lot more troll action than I did. I guess there is no way to prevent, and I think we've been very fortunate on this site as i only remember 1 offense... great job guys...

You mean it's one of us? Or someone who just comes here to just to bug Bob? If the latter, should be a easy fix.
