duff wrote: JimH I didn't mean to sound like I was complaining about you or your source. It's really the scientific publishing community that I am starting to get frustrated with. It's like the only way to get your article mentioned is to claim something that is at best tenuously supported by the data. But if you want the actual data we take VISA and Mastercard.
Don't worry duff, I didn't take it that way. I just know where you are coming from. Being a college student I have made a habit myself of being more selective of my sources. Through my university I have the access to peer reviewed academic journals. Articles on "mainstream" websites I usually take at face value, without staking anything on it.

Or do it 'old school' style, from SE Virginia; throw a few salted peanuts in each beer. Salt makes everything taste better.

lucky me! beer don't give me a hang over.
"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Huffpost doesn't write articles. Huffpost finds articles and then puts up summarizes of them, so that they get site traffic to make money. A nice term for stealing.

When they quote a source, find the source and provide the link directly to that, depriving Huffpost of the revenue.
I have over 9,000 posts on "another forum", which means absolutely nothing. Mr. Beer January 2014 Brewer of the Month with all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it...

Huffington Post also doesn't have good editors. I find typographical errors in their articles all the time.

Been doing the 2-1-2-1 etc method for years now. My recovery bounce back isn't what it once was, and adding the water in really makes for a very pleasant next day for me too. (Plus I don't seem to do as much stupid crap as I used to... )
Actually, Craft Beer has kept me from getting "wasted" at the bars for several years now. Ever since Sam Adams came out and all the excellent Craft Beers that have followed I won't buy any of the AMC beers. Now, since the Craft Beers I buy are more expensive and I am a tight-ass, I don't drink the beers as fast as I used to. This has the additional benefit of allowing me to enjoy the taste of the beer that I'm drinking. And, as if that wasn't enough of a benefit, it has given me the ability to see just how stupid my buddies get when they are wasted and know that that was me also several years ago and given me the conviction of never being like that - in public - again.
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.
