And sometimes you get lucky. And sometimes it is a combination of both. Today I saw a hawk off in the distance. I carefully approached him so as not to scare him off. I got close enough to take these.

Great photos, Roger! You really captured the majesty of these amazing creatures. I often see hawks soaring around while I'm out working, and it always gives me a thrill. They're so beautiful.
