Hello Borg!
Brewbirds & BB2 are scampering around like blackbirds on a hop farm trying to get us moved this summer. I want to reward our handyman's great efforts by getting him started in homebrewing; thinking a nice BD recipe would be just the ticket. I really enjoy their One Evil Pils, but he is a man of simple tastes - B/M/C that means. So what is better, American Prophecy or Cult Classic.
Thanks, we WILL be back.

Re: Brewdemon Recipe Recommendations ?
I think the Evil One Pilsner is a good introduction to more flavorful beer for a BMC fan.
Then I would suggest the Bewitched Amber Ale or Northwest Pale Ale craft beer refills. Personally I use these as a base for more complex brews but they are decent stand alones

Re: Brewdemon Recipe Recommendations ?
I'm unfamiliar with the recipes, but I would think that a Pils would be a good start. It's inoffensive and simple, as opposed to a stout or some more complicated style, and it's probably close to BMC while being a step up, and having the added attraction of having been made at home.
I wish you luck in shepherding him into the world of homebrewing, but don't be offended or feel bad if he doesn't get into it. I did the same thing for my nephew a couple of years ago, but as far as I know, he never made the recipe I gave him. And he appreciates good beer, and he appreciates my homebrew. But it's not a hobby for everyone, and that's okay, too.
