Is this what an “AA” meeting feels like?
Grandpa brewed most of his life including during Prohibition when he supplied his Family, small community, local Church and its Clergy. My Father was the youngest of ten kids and got the bottle cleaning duty along with much of the other fun stuff, Dad was eventually allowed to brew too.
My Wife bought a Mr. Beer kit for me several years ago as a present. You all know how this stuff goes!
I now have three LBKs. 48 quart PET bottles, the hydrometer, bottle wand and all the other basic brew creation tools, cleaning supplies, spare bottle caps/spigots etc. I don’t have spare space right now to expand further and it’s probably just as well.
Brews in various stages right now are Mr. Beer varieties including a 2013 Spring White IPA and 2013 Belgian Spiced Christmas Ale; both were bottled at the same time and are in the final stage of conditioning. The other is a Powerful Patriot Ale at day 21 in the LBK, bottling today.
I look forward to benefitting from the experience and advice of well seasoned brewers here; I see many familiar names and handles from Mr. Beer and other forums.
