Life update.

Post by philm00x »

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been around as much these days. My computer is still broken, so, unless you got me on facebook (which I can check on my phone), I'm a bit out of touch.

I'd like to share that I'm working hard at the new job, and I have no regrets leaving my old one.

Secondly, MY WIFE AND I ARE HAVING A BABY!! It took us three years, but we finally conceived and are expecting for March 13, 2015. SWMBO's only 8 weeks along so too early to tell the sex of the baby, but we do know that the baby is healthy so far. We've had names picked out since we started trying so now just waiting till she's far enough along to tell and then he/she will be named.

Third, we went to Miami a bit more than a week ago to visit my family and celebrate the news of our child-to-come. Mom threw together a dinner party with some extended family the one night and they were all drinking wine. Now usually, I'd take some homebrew with me but the last few times I've gone, nary a bottle had been opened (by someone other than me, that is). There was, however, a big 1L bottle of Saint Sebastian Tripel in their fridge that I brought the previous time we went down there. By this point, it had been aging for 8 months. I brought that bottle out and poured me a glass, and had my cousin begging me to try it when he learned I had brewed it. The glass was passed around for sips and cheers were shouted all around! We grabbed some more glasses and emptied the bottle. I sipped on my glass of tripel and basked in the glow of pride. I was extremely happy with how smooth it tasted and how well it was received by others.

I'm still brewing but just not as much as I used to, because time and space are really tight. Anyone that feels the desire to help me clear my pipeline, please come over. I need a reason to brew and fill it back up! I did brew another batch of St Sebastian today and I bottled the Pineapple Wit a few weeks ago so there's some stuff goin on.
