Now look what you made me go and do!

Post by LouieMacGoo »

The other day I got an email from the web hosting company that this site had exceeded the data limits of of the hosting plan and that I either needed to start deleting files and databases or increase the hosting plan to the Pro Plan which increases the data limits and moves the websites to it's own server instead of a shared server. So instead of risking losing some valuable Borg information I ponied up for the Pro Plan. It was a small cost to make sure that this site continues to work as everyone has come to expect. :borg2:

ALSO be aware that over the next week as the Borg is migrated by the hosting company to it's new mother ship/server you may see some slowness or problems connecting! Please be patient!

Thank you to everyone for helping to keep the Borg growing! :borg:

BTW Happy belated One year Anniversary to everyone! It been just over a year since the Implosion of the "other" forum which really led to this site's success.! :barman: :urock:

Thanks for this and all you do Leigh! It's much appreciated.

This is Paul talking, not Leigh.........if you can, please go here, http://www.beerborg.com/index/ and make a donation in any amount you can. I just gave another $15. I know it's not much but if everyone who uses this forum on a regular basis and gets something out of it can donate even $5, I know Leigh will make good use of it. I plan to donate 2-3 times a year but everyone has their own money issues and needs so don't feel obligated but anytime you feel you can give any little bit will be helpful.
Thanks again Leigh for having this great forum!

Well ain't this something. I just made my annual $20 donation yesterday and was going to start a thread in The Brewhouse. I feel it's money well spent to keep in touch with everyone here and plan on doing it every year in August, my join month. Like Paul noted, even $5 helps.

I really want to thank Leigh for hosting this site. For him to step up, make the call with his own funds to do this, shows what a great guy he is (I know first hand, having the pleasure of meeting him). I'd also like to thank gwcr and Paul (aka Beer-lord) for taking time to be moderators here. I know we're pretty self moderating, but it's nice they stepped up also.

I raise my glass to toast Leigh (believe it or not, my glass holds beer brewed by him, a real tasty Belgian Blonde if I remember right) and all my fellow Borg members.
Cheers everyone, Happy Brewing.

Thanks Jeff, cheers back at ya!

Just so that things got get to the point where someone feels they need to donate, you don't need to even mention if you did. Only Leigh will know about the donation and as moderators, Glen and I have nothing to do with any of the web side. So no need to announce the donation but of course, if you want, that's fine too.

We could actually make a drinking game out of this but I'm not sure that's a responsible, adult idea which is why I even thought about it.

Jeff and Paul, Thank you so much for your kind words. I don't get to post here as often as I would like but believe me I am here just about every day to make sure everything is going smoothly and check to see what everyone is up to. I'm just happy that everyone else finds this place as helpful and inviting as I do. We do have the best bunch of brewers anywhere on the internet and I will defend that to the very end. All of you make this not just a forum of information but a community with a real sense of friendship and camaraderie and I couldn't be prouder to help foster that here on the BeerBorg.

As far as donations go, they are greatly appreciated. Being able to show SWMBO that this isn't a waste of time and doesn't cost me anything is a big benefit! ;) I do realize that not everyone can donate money directly but you can still help me cover the costs by clicking on the ads. Even if you don't buy anything the site still gets a small amount per click from the header and footer (Google) ads. The Amazon, BrewDemon, AHA, BYO Magazine, and other ads actually give a small percentage of anything you buy back to the site when you connect through those links and that can really add up.

Lastly, I want to thanks Glen and Paul for being such great moderators! They are my eyes and ears when I can't be on and they are always quick to act if and when there is anything that needs immediate action. I am truly grateful for their help and dedication to this community.

And again thank you to everyone that has made the BeerBorg such a great place for brewers and friends.

Congratulations, Leigh! And muchas gracias for this excellent forum!

Paul, thank you for the reminder. I will be contributing some do-re-mi this weekend. It's a small contribution to a place that has given me so much.
