A General Update

Post by braukasper »

as some of you you know I have been having some health issues. Unfortunately for you guys looks like I am going to be around for awhile. The reworking of my pain & BP meds seems to have me well on the road to recovery. It is hard for me to believe that 3 weeks ago I could not even stand up! That my kidneys had shutdown and the liver was trying to. My last round of tests and blood work came back perfect, had the no drinking ban lifted. Keep it in moderation 1 or 2 a night. Still have more test to go thru but it is starting to look a lot better :D :D :D

On the bright side. When I was in the hospital my heart rate would shoot up to 175 - 180 when I stood up. When I got bored I'd have a little fun with the nurses

Good to know!
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

Glad to hear you are back in the fold.

As someone who has spent a lot of time in the ER and ICU, I know it takes some thought to have fun. Or just stupidity. Last time I was in the ER they pretty much forgot about me and I was getting bored out of my mind. I noticed that the hospital monitor thingie actually ran on a locked Windows box and figured I would play me some solitaire. Rebooted the puppy to get in the OS and start the fun. After a minute or two I was swarmed by staff and carts and more staff. Stupid me forgot I was hooked up to the %$#@ thing so in their minds I had just flatlined. I got a chuckle out of it. Them, not so much.

So yes, I appreciate whatever fun you were able to have!!!

LOVE IT!!!! They had put me in a bed that was to help keep my blood flowing. The funny thing was that every time the bed did it's thing the heart & lung monitors & IV pump would shut off. Better entertainment than the late night TV.
