Beer Tastes Different on Different Days
Ever notice this? Sometimes I like a brew more or less on different days. Not just homebrew, commercial stuff too. And a lot more or less, like I don't like it to I like it fine. So, am I crazy? inter-dimensional? tastebud manic-depressive? Or in good company?

Re: Beer Tastes Different on Different Days
Just as beer can have an influence over the taste of what you're eating I think just the opposite is true also. And not just what you're eating at the time but what you may have eaten recently. I think your taste buds need some recovery time after you've eaten hot and/or spicy foods. And while recovering the tastes of some foods or beverages made seem different.
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

Your in good company...at least with me. I know exactly what you mean, but I've never gone as much as not liked it to liking it. But I also agree with Chuck that what your eating can have a huge influence on how beer, or wine or even Kool Aid tastes.

I agree completely. A particular beer may taste awesome one day and just ok the next. I have never been able to explain it to myself. I'm sure food does play a role as well.

I keg, so I know it's not a bottling issue... I chaulked it up to food, and even had thoughts of not clean enough glasses, but they would have to be nasty to chnage flavor that much...

I'm in that boat, too. Along with food I find the mood I'm in affects my enjoyment of a beer as well.

Also, humidity and anything happening in the weather will affect how you taste things. Your nose and sinuses will change things too.
