Beer-lord's Maharaja

Post by BlackDuck »

Hey Paul...you know you can't just remove the label of a bottle and put your own on it!!!

Unfortunately I don't have a bottle of the real Maharaja to do a side by side comparison. Fortunately, I don't think I needed it. This was awesome Paul....you nailed this one. The aroma was spot on and the flavor was perfect. It poured with a great head and had very good lacing throughout. The color was a cloudy, deep orange. Man....that hop schedule rules.

I may just say that this is the best home brewed beer I've ever had.

I took a picture, but it's too big. I've got to resize, may have to wait until tomorrow.

Thanks Chris, was just getting ready to do this.
Poured this deep copper/orange beer into a glass with a nice head that kept a slight layer across the top all the way to the bottom of the glass.
Ubber nice dank aroma on the nose. Thought about just strapping the glass to my face. Good bitterness up front on the tongue, followed by a nice malt finish on the backside. Yep, he just removed some labels.
This is a well put together beer. Job well done Paul. :thanks:

Yes folks that is a BOMBER. Either Paul is not stingy with his beer....or he is trying to get rid of it fast.
Though 22oz were great, stop it. Now I have to wash, sanitize, fill with Pliny the same bottle.
Thank You

You poor suffered, fools :jumpy:

Sorry guys, wish you could have more but this is being kept 'in da family' if you know what I mean? I've been fortunate to "try" all of his beers and this one? HMMMM is above and beyond home brewness. It's definitely his finest beer. The quality is as goo t as any craft beer I've tasted and certainly better than many 'retail' beers.

I'm thinking of advising Stone to hire him out on contract and i'll be his agent.

Really, it's an awesome effing beer.

Thanks guys (except for my twin who is a brown noser). I have to say, I'm flattered and not worthy. I also have to say that when I read, "Thought about just strapping the glass to my face" made me laughed out loud!
To think that it didn't hit OG or FG and still came out good is a bit of luck. All I can say is that I feel comfy with what I have to work with and don't tr to reinvent the wheel. It's so much fun and sometimes it comes out great and sometimes below par and most of the time, just ok. I got lucky.
To make it up, I'll send some shyte style beers just so you know I'm human.

I look forward to sharing the Pliny with you guys soon (if I can get it done this weekend).
