Fighting Words Made My Day

The wife just sent me a text that she is at Fort Street Brewing Company in Lincoln Park, MI and sent me a picture of a beer she was drinking. Normally, I would take that as fighting "words" as today is her day off and I am sitting here at work (with no beer in front of me obviously). I had to take a gander at the description: "Zeus Juice: An IPA made with barley, wheat, oats, and Michigan-grown Zeus hops. Very well balanced with a bready maltiness and a herbal hop flavor. ABV= 7.5% IBU's= 100"

Finally it dawned on me - it is made with our hops! Now, I've had beer with our hops before, but am never sure if it is 100%, mixed, or what, and generally out of a bottle. Really cool to be a part of what is on draft at one of my favourite places. Goona have to head down for Cask Thursday thats a given!

Oh, and to top it off, she picked me up a growler. That's my gal! And just to out do herself, she is also bringing home another order for hops. Yup, definitely a keeper !!!

I have been a way for a while..... you grow hops and sell them to a brewery near you and they make beer with your hops??? THAT IS AWESOME... if accurate!

How if possible can I buy some of your hops? I am a CTZ fan and would love to get my hands on some grown nearby and fresh like.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) the Zeus sold like crazy. The alphas were something silly like 27-28% so they got swiped up.
