Let Them Eat Cake!

Post by BigPapaG »

Have some of our grand kiddys over this week so thought I would end their week with some cake....

So, I made this Strawberry Cake, with Vanilla Cream Frosting toped with Fresh Strawberries...

Should be Yummy!

NOTE: For mine, I think I'll pair it with a hearty Porter... Like Edmund Fitzgerald from Great Lakes!

Why?? Why would you show that to us?? I hate you.... i'm hungry for dessert now. Maybe i'll take the Mrs out for dinner tonight at BJs brewhouse and enjoy one of their famous Pazooki's and post a picture of it!! Its a round brownie, gooey in the middle, with a scoup of ice cream on top! Yea, i'll definitely do that! There goes training for the half marathon over the past 3 weeks!

P.s. That looks great!!

I don't even like cake. Unless it's chocolate. Or yellow. Or white, or carrot, or angel food, or pound, or birthday or wedding, or short. Rats. I want some cake.

Give them (your grand kiddies) each at least a couple of slices of that delicious looking cake and a Mountain Dew or two to wash them down with. Then send them back home with their parents, sit back and chuckle as your remember the sugar highs you had to endure when the parents were your kids.
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

You will come here to me now and you will make me cakes!!!!

You may bring the young ones to sift your flour and wash your bowls and they will be allowed a taste!

This I demand of you because I am your QUEEN and I will have your cakes!!!
