Good article, I like anything to do with history and beer history is better yet.

+1 to this.berryman wrote:Good article, I like anything to do with history and beer history is better yet.
I got a kick out of the first photo that showed the 150 year-old cave but there was still a styrofoam cup in the back ground.
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

It would have been cool if it had been full of 150 yr old beer.

FIT may be onto something guys. We could start a salvage company like the ones looking for sunken treasure ships but we research old east coast brewery history looking for the beer caves that haven't been discovered yet.FrozenInTime wrote:It would have been cool if it had been full of 150 yr old beer.

In Weston MO they have restored a beer cave and made it into a brewery and Irish Pub. It goes 5 stories under the ground. When you enter it you enter this tiny shack then just start walking downhill. It is very humid and musty but cool none-the-less.
