Found a New Beverage Store

Post by BlackDuck »

My neighbor asked me to stop in a store to pick up a six pack of Rhinegeist Truth IPA for him. Seems that this Ameristop, which is just a convenience type store is the only place within a couple hour drive from where we live. Again, this place is just a like a Convenient or Lawsons of the old days. It's a place to get lottery tickets, odds and ends and maybe an Orange Whip while your there. I was not expecting much of a selection.

OH BOY WAS I WRONG. This is what greeted my as I turned the corner:

And this doesn't include their walk in cooler for all the BMC and the nice end cap display of fall style beers. So of course I found the six pack he was looking for. And of course I had to buy a couple for myself.....

YEA....a store that is only 5 minutes out of my normal route to/fro work that carries Stone...I also picked up a 6 pack of Great Lakes Brewing Spacewalker American Belgo.

I could not believe this place would have such a beer selection. I now have a new favorite store!!!!

And it has ENJOY BY 9/20? you lucky dog (I have other words but I won't use them here). This is the first time we're not getting the Enjoy By here in like the last 3 or 4 issues.
We're supposed to be getting a World of Beer here in about 2 months so I'm hoping things will be easier for us southerners soon.
In the meantime, E N J O Y them all.

How were the prices?
Unapologetic was pretty good but not up to the normal Stone work. Better than anything I could do.

The prices were good. The Enjoy By was $9.99, which is the going rate around here.

And that wasn't all the Stone they had...there was Ruin Ten, Arrogant Bastard, Burning Rosids Cherry Wood Smoked Saison and the Imperial Russian Stout to name a few. There was a couple others, but I can't remember which ones right now.

I hope the 18th Anniversary shows up soon!!!

If you haven't yet...

Try the Southern Tier 2XIPA, it's a really good drinker...

And if you want a really good, all Mosaic IPA, the 2XONE is also very good.

BTW: Enjoy by has been running $7.99 up here...

Yup...they had all kinds of good stuff. But I figured a $40 bill was good for now. Like Arnold says....I'll be back!

Nice find! The only thing that could be better is if it was all in cold storage.

Let's see, from that pic I can see Rogue, Anchor, Deschuetes, DogFishHead, Sam Adams.....

Yea...it's a hell of a selection. And I'll pick up some of the Southern Tier 2XIPA next time I'm in there. The store manager sends out emails for new arrivals too. And some of those arrivals never even hit the shelf. The only people that know about them are the ones on his email list. Pretty cool for just a convenient store.
