... And I put it there!

Do what you will because I just can't seem to get motivated to brew...

I really need to get two batches going and I just haven't been able to do it!

Kick away and get this motor started!

Best way to get R done is to get R started.

You useless little brew of a man. Get off your arse, and get it going. You have exactly 24 hours to report back that you've brewed at least 5 gallons of good hooch or we're having an intervention.

Well, it's up to you to get a brew started, but if you aren't brewing anything you aren't a brewer, are you? :)

Wow! BeerLord goes all Dominatrix on you!
I'm a beer pacifist, laisse faire, kind of guy. You'll brew when you are ready, there's always time for an intervention.

This works for me and might work for you. Even just gathering up all the ingredients or checking inventory, that's usually enough to get me motivated.

*kick*.. (lightly of course)

to be able to brew.. to have the means.. to have the time to brew and the materiel ... and choose not to surely offends the beer gods. may they have mercy on you for your iniquity! I have unused packages of yeast in my fridge. I shall commune with them and ask them to intercede on your behalf. it's S04 so you should be ok soon. they intercede as aggressively as they ferment.

I sympathize, but I also want to motivate you. I know from my own experience that the most difficult thing is breaking the inertia. I tend to sit there, farting around on my laptop, thinking, I should get up and get my brew on. And then I sit a little more, just thinking about all the tasks involved just in getting started (gathering my equipment, getting my ingredients staged, and all that washing!!) But once I actually get up and start moving, it's like rolling downhill, and everything clicks.

Break the inertia. Put it in motion. The motivation will kick in, and you'll be back in the swing in no time. Thinking about the entire thing is daunting, but if you go one step at a time, it doesn't seem so large a job. Like the old saying goes: how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.

Although you did not say that you don't have any pipeline, I will jump on the bandwagon and kick a man when he's down - it's a good thing.

My pipeline has 9.75 cases in it. Yours does not.

I have 2.08 cases of beer in bottles not yet ready to drink. You do not.

Mine's bigger. 'Nuff said.
I have over 9,000 posts on "another forum", which means absolutely nothing. Mr. Beer January 2014 Brewer of the Month with all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it...

I'll kick you if you kick me! I need to get my brew on too. I bought all the ingredients for a tasty porter that I can enjoy this winter, and even got myself a shiny new BrewDemon, but I can't seem to get off my arse and do it. This Sunday may be my day. :woot:
