Just looking at those pictures again....and realized how awesome it would be to have that floor and drain system in my basement.

I actually have some drains in my basement. Just not standing headroom! (For me, anyway)
As for the brewday, it looks like a kid in a toy store. I'm happy for you.

Never mind, there it is.

What a really nice experience thank you for sharing with us. I would have had no problem at all with having the bragging rights of them brewing one of my recipes, that just doesn't happen to everyone.

This is one of the coolest happenings in Borg history, IMO. (Evily's beer-themed wedding is definitely in the conversation, too.)
One of our own "goes pro" for a day.

Cheers, russki!

I personally don't ever worry about sharing my recipes - pretty much all of them are posted on BrewToad anyway. There are so many variables, that even following a recipe, the results will vary quite a bit. Bragging rights is all I want, really. Well, that and some free beer!

As to making a living as a brewer - it's tough, these jobs don't pay much, so unless you are opening your own brewery and are successful, there are many careers with a better outlook. I like brewing as a hobby, but once it becomes a job, it's different. Talking to the brewmaster, he used to homebrew, and now he has not brewed a batch outside of work for ages...

Not to deter anyone from following a dream... As far as education goes, both brewers at Mickey Finn's graduated from Siebel Institute's brewing program, which seems like a requirement for entering the field. Just some food for thought...

And that is a very pricey education too!!! So not only do you have the investment of equipment and property, the investment in proper education is costly.

This was fantastic. I really have no desire to brew on this level regularly, though it would be fun to do one time.
