I came, I brewed, I conquered!

Post by evily »

According to my brew log spreadsheet (which had gathered a thick layer of virtual dust), it has been almost exactly 1 year since I brewed my last batch. Until yesterday. I finally got out all my brew supplies and whipped up a batch for my new BrewDemon fermentor. I am trying out docpd's Bourbon Barrel Porter recipe. I felt like a noob all over again, as I had to remember which tools I needed, and what order to do everything. But it all went quite smoothly, and this morning there was a nice thick krausen in my fermentor. Success!!! I'm really looking forward to enjoying this one over the cold winter months. Perhaps a good football watching beer? Hooray, beer!

Woo hoo !!!

I myself was not as lucky as lost power (and part of a tree blocking my driveway meaning I could not make it to the LHBS). But, it gives me something to look forward to for next weekend!!!

Wow, it looks like everybody had a big brewing weekend. I feel like I'm not part of the club as I didn't brew this weekend. You can flog me now.

The Disciples will correct me if I'm wrong I hope but I think brewery reviews allow a pass. ;)

Awesome to hear Evily getting back in and having a smooth day keeps my unable to brew spirits up.

Jump in there and get another in the pipeline so those don't get lonely.

I am already thinking ahead to what I'll brew up next. Hmmm... perhaps a nice IPA or APA? Decisions, decisions...

Soon. Very soon.
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.
