Well, I figured out how to email my pics from my phone to my account, and from there I should be able to get them here.

Dan, the build is complete, it's the finish work that needs to be done. Ed came over late this morning and put on a finish coat, which will take about 24 hours to dry, and then he'll check it out and see if it could use another. Then it's just a matter of drilling the holes for the shanks, and attaching the drip tray, and the build will actually be done. After that, I'll be able to connect all the hoses and whatnot, and just wait until my beer is finished fermenting.

That's great Dave, sounds like an awesome build and a very useful addition to your home as well. Looking forward to seeing the pictures of it in action.

Well, it's mostly done.

The build is complete, and a couple coats of stain and sealer have been applied. Now Ed just needs to come over with a hole saw and put the taps in, hang the drip tray, and re-attach the lid. I still have another week before the batch I'm aiming to keg is ready, so I'm hoping we can get this taken care up, maybe this weekend.

Sounds like it's coming along good Dave...

One thing that came to mind if I may suggest it is...

Since the taps and shanks are at the cold/warm barrier, they have the potential to sweat...

Might want to suggest to Ed that he seal the fresh cuts in the holes he will be drilling for the tap shanks before mounting everything in...

Can't wait 'till I hear you have your first keg running!

Speaking of condensation, you may want to pick up a couple of EVA-DRY dehumidifiers on Amazon - put them into the keezer to prevent mold growth. They last a couple months between recharges (plug them in overnight).

I ordered 2 of these and have 1 in the keezer already. After a week of use, it's hard to even tell it's doing anything though there is no mold to worry about.

I spoke with him last night, since we're on the same Friday Night Bowling team (go, Short Bus!). Today (Saturday) is his wife's and stepdaughter's Hair Day, and it happens to coincide with Beer Day at the local CanAm League baseball stadium. So he'll be sampling beer today while I have to work. But he said definitely this weekend, and he did say he was going to drill the holes first and then put another coat on the collar, since by doing that, once it dries, all I have to do is assemble everything. So it'll work out both okey and dokey.

Russki, that's a good idea. I will definitely look into that. Would one be enough for a 5.2 Cubit Footer?

I found it listed on Home Dopey's website, so I should be able to stop by my local store and pick one up. A single one should be adequate for this size keezer.

The 333 and 500 are rechargeable, not sure about the other Eva-Drys, those are the ones you want.

I have the Eva-Dry 500 in my keezer. I have a computer fan attached with Velcro to the front of it. This helps draw the air through it for better air drying and help circulate air around in the keezer for steady temperatures. When I see moisture forming on the walls I swap it out with my other one that's stored in a ziplock bag. I got a 3 pack because I wanted one for the gun safe. So I dry that one and swap it with the one in the safe, dry that one and just rotate out.

Okay, this is the best I could do. I know it's my feeble non-computer brain that can't figure this out, but there's also the fact that technology is my enemy and refuses to do the simplest things I want. I will load the rest of my pics from the build from my phone to PhotoBucket, and post links, because even when I follow directions, computers screw me over. Sorry.

For the BeerBorg I resize my pictures so they're about 1.5 x 1.5 inches then I load them to the page using the attachment tab. If you contact me I'll work with you to figure out where you need some help...I'm sure there are plenty of folks here who would be willing to help you.

Yeah, probably just need to resize them. I'll work on it this afternoon, but I have a low frustration level when it comes to stuff like this; it always seems there are too many steps involved, and I find just about everything about computer commands is counter-intuitive to me. I just don't think the same way these programs are designed, I guess.

Hey, at least I don't put Wite-Out on my computer screen when I mistype something. :lol:
