Yes, please do. That was nice enjoyable beer. And a great label too!!Kealia wrote:Chris,
The Hop Miser I sent you earlier this year was an IPL. I was pleased with it and I somewhat based the recipe on the IPA I did earlier. Happy to post that recipe if you want to use that as a data point with everything else you are collecting.
I do remember that. And I thought that was a good beer. But mine will be a true lager with lager yeast.Beer-lord wrote:I did a RyePL (think I sent you one) that I liked but it wasn't a true lager. I used 1007 yeast which I think I would use again. I know I would change things but I don't know what. I enjoyed it. It was discussed here:

That's an interesting article. It seems most don't even use Pilsner malt but instead use 2 row. Though I could brew mine again and not change anything, if I were to do another one, I'd like to split the grain bill 50/50 2 row/pilsner. Then try it with all 2 row with the same yeast and see how it goes.BlackDuck wrote:Kealia wrote:Chris,
I found this doing some research.... https://byo.com/stories/issue/item/2875 ... roundtable Looks like there is some good information in there.
Guilty as charged!Beer-lord wrote:Look at you guys! Here I am a hophead and made mine under 60 IBU's and you guys are blowing the IBU's out the water. Steppin up!
The 'Extra Light Dry Extract' in mine is Briess CBW Pilsen DME.BlackDuck wrote:I noticed that too. I'll use 2-row as the primary, in fact, I don't think I'll use any pilsner. Still doing the research, we'll see what comes out of my head after I'm done.
I dry hopped at room temp prior to lagering...BlackDuck wrote:Awesome guys...thanks. When you dry hopped, did you do it at lager temp (50 to 55) or room temp?
