I agree, Dan. Not fair at all. Make her aware of this (in a nice way), and if she still isn't receptive, go there yourself. She can't set you up like this. And I say that not to make it a man vs. woman thing, or a husband vs. wife thing. It's just not considerate behavior. Period.

Re: The No Post Post
Got down to our tailgating spot this morning for the Browns game, started setting up, and I find out that we were hosting about 20 people from New Orleans! Three of the guys were the winning team on Guy Fieri's Tailgate competition and the showed up with almost 100 lbs of Cajun Tailgating food! What a great surprise and friendly bunch! Win or lose today either way would have been a great day, but winning made it better! My North Port Pils was a hit, it went quick!

I just cracked open my first bottle of ET Stout that's been conditioning for over 6 months. Holy shit is that thing good. Btw ET is because it's a chocolate peanut butter stout. Like Reeses.

Went to one of the local watering holes with my son to watch the Vikings' game. Unfortunately the Vikings didn't play today.
Had a good time just the same.

Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

I've been waiting for the Browns to break out the last few years. Felt like they had all the pieces to do it and just need a chef to put it all together right. Seems like they finally got that guy this year and the Dog Pound seems to have a little more pep to their step this year. It could be one of those magical years for the Browns fans.Dawg LB Steve wrote:Got down to our tailgating spot this morning for the Browns game, started setting up, and I find out that we were hosting about 20 people from New Orleans! Another weekend has bit the dust. Still haven't found another job after being dumped with out warning due to a previous employee reclaiming the job position. Fortunately, I put 50% of what I earned aside just in case. Good thing, eh? We've put the RV up for sale. We never did use it for more than a place to sleep on the weekends when the Grandkidletts came to visit. And it's taken the wife this long to really start to love that bed in the RV. Well, anyway, we put it on Craig's list via our son, and we just got our first looky loo today. We decided that what we need is a travel trailer. We've found a model we like, and now we need to sell the Whatsabagle. Once we do that, the actual odds of us hitting the road a wee bit increase 100%.
However, in the interim, I shall continue to look for employment that doesn't take me away from the Family at night and weekends. I can do impossible. Might take a bit, but I've done it before.

Congrats guys!
Thanks, had I known they were coming up to join us, I would have had my camera or Ipod Touch that I know takes much better pictures and I how to get pictures off of! I have Scott "Sparky's" Email he said he would send me some good pictures. What a great bunch of people, after the game we got back and the grills fired up again for some after game tailgating!
It was a fun day all around, and its about time we came out on the plus side of one of these games!BlackDuck wrote:Steve...I am jealous. Go Browns!!!

Believe me Dan so have we! I've been waiting since I was 4 years old, the last Championship Cleveland has had! Came close a couple time with The Indians and The Cavs, but......! Thought the Walrus was going to break us out, he just wanted a paycheck! I think we might finally have the right people in place!D_Rabbit wrote:I've been waiting for the Browns to break out the last few years. Figured out how to get pics off the flip phone, just a couple I took from our Browns-Saints Tailgate. Some of the food they brought up:
Boudin
Etouffe from scratch that morning
Jambalaya Pasta from scratch that morning

AND.......
Gator Sausage! The food was phenomenal!
