Americana Fest Ale, a limited-edition collaboration being released tonight for the Americana Music Festival that is ongoing this week in Nashville. Linus brought in the organizers of the festival and worked with them on what kind of beer they'd like to have for the festival. The resulting collaboration is a aromatic IPA style , made with some of Linus' favorite smoked malts to round out the flavor. Not a hop bomb by any means, this is a pretty balanced with some nice citrus flavor from the citra hops and just a touch of the smoke. The beer premiered at the taproom this evening, and will have its official fest debut tomorrow night, when Jerry Douglas and The Earls of Leicester will perform in the taproom. Fun stuff... and with the bombers selling at $20 for 6, quite the bargain...

Yep... One bomber for $5, or three for $12, or six for $20. And a Yazoo canvas bag to carry them in. I love being able to get this, the 10 Year White IPA, Bell's Bend Preservation Ale or SUE for $5 per (or, actually, for $3.33 each when buying six). Such a nice bargain for some great beers...

Drinking one of my first attempts at the Frontal Hopotomy. This beer is really aging well. It's actually turned out pretty good.

Had a couple Blue Moons that my daughter brought home from her work (works in house keeping at a hotel) and she brings me beers that are left in the rooms, mostly BMC's but sometimes good beers. Today a couple Blue Moons and some 16 oz Buds which I will save for company that likes that stuff. I would not buy Blue Moon, if I brewed something that came out like that, I'd think I really F'ed up the hop boil. No hop presence, IDK if they even put hops in that beer. I can give it a few +'s, it is a cloudy wheat and does do good cold, but not what I like in a Belgian Wheat. And to top it off, the bottles are twist off so I can't even save them to put good beer in. But it was beer and I drank it. :woot:
