I have my splitter screwed on the inside of my collar along the back.

Yeah, that's what I figured I'd do. Looking at how things seem to be configured, I think attaching it to the back, and toward the left corner will work best. I also need to mount the external thermostat. I had thought I could use strong magnets on the back, and just have it hang on the side of the unit, but I tried it last night, and it's too heavy. I guess a couple more screws on the back of the collar won't hurt anything....

Mine is attached how Inks is. I'll take a photo later today to show you.

For the thermostat I used velcro. It wouldn't stick to my drywall for some reason so I mounted it to the cabinets in my garage and it is holding much stronger there. I should have thought about mounting the unit to the freezer but that was too low for me. I wanted something eye height so it would be easy to see and adjust if needed. I'll take a photo of that too

I know nothing about this topic but I saw you guys talking about condensation so I'll just throw out to you Dave that you might want to use stainless steel screws or some kind of nylon fastener.

Mine is loose, too. Since I just have a 2-tower commercial tap I didn't want to screw into the interior of the kegerator.

Sorry about that Ron. But just so everyone knows, this obsession of mine is ALL Dan's fault. He was the one who put THE Borg Brew together on the old forum and got me to brew my first AG beer. It's been down hill since then, but man what a great ride with great friends.
Since my house in on a slab, you probably don't want to see my "cellar" I'm running this freezer at 50* for beer storage. After kegging 10 gallons ESB, 10 gallons of Rum Barrel Vanilla Stout and the RIS that was already in there......well this is what happens.

I will be doing some work on the kegerator this weekend so I will most likely move it. I have some clear caulk as well to fill in those screw holes when I move it. Have to figure out how I want it mounted. I am planning on putting my 20lb CO2 tank in the Kegerator. Should last the rest of my life. That way I have the spare 5lb tank to travel with if needed.

The best I can tell from the picture Dan, is that the wood is glued to the metal skin of the freezer (I hope so, the coils run right behind there) and the splitter is screwed to that. So just move the splitter and leave the wood block there, unless you can get it off with out damaging the metal. If they ran the screws into the metal, the were braver men than me.

Good call ink! I may just move it to the piece of wood that is just below the collar, since the 20# tank is much taller that might work better. I can't wait for 5pm!!

Figured I would post this here since Ink advised me on changing the gas manifold around. After searching around I see I got seriously backdoored on the price I paid for the lines but so it goes when you want it today instead of ordering and waiting. (Almost 3x the cost i'm seeing online at KegConnection.com)

I took the time today, since my wife is sick, to run out and buy new gas lines and liquid lines. Than I took some more time to take apart the disaster the other guy had put together and run all the new lines. I decided I am only going to use 4/6 of the taps for now since I only have a 4 port gas valve. At some point soon I will buy a 3 port gas valve as well and attach to the side like the prior one was. I am thinking I may use that for Nitrice and hook that up to my stouts and porters.

Here is what it looked like prior. He had the top port spliced 3 different ways with T splices and ports 2 and 3 spliced 2 ways. It was a giant mess in my opinion.

I also took the time to clean out the kegerator with some KABOOM! It did a nice job of cleaning out the bottom although there were some rusted areas that wouldn't cooperate. The liquid lines were kind of a paint to get to fit on the valve but after a few blisters I was able to get 5/6 lines attached. Now I just need to start saving up for some kegs since I only have 3.
