I was trolling the net today and thought I would check out the Oklahoma home brewer laws. What I came across dang near threw me for a loop. It seems I and breaking the laws of Oklahoma and subject to fines and jail time. In order to brew at home in the state you must have a home brewers license, and you are allowed 200 gal. a year of cider, wine' or beer combined. Micro breweries can only sell 3.2 abv as state law only allows that to be sold without a liq. license. I've poured my beer down the drain and filled my OABLEC request out and sending it in for approval.
MY DRAINS RUN SLOW SO DON'T KNOW WHEN I'LL GET IT ALL GONE.

I think it's ok if you run it through your liver on the way to the drain.

So the laws are kinda weird. I looked at it with a friend a while ago when he moved there.
Below is a copy of the Oklahoma Constitution. If you go to article 27 subsection 2 it states that you only need the license to make beer or cereal malt beverage stronger than 3.2% alcohol by weight which is about 4% alcohol by volume. It probably is safer to just get your license since it appears they don't charge for the license but you may need to pay for notarization and a stamp.

I can see why a government might have an interest in regulating the sale of alcohol. But requiring a license for non-commercial, private hobby brewing in your own home makes me want to dump tea in the harbor!
