This year has been the year of non-brewing for me.

I still have the recipe from Spring that my partner and I worked out, but have not made yet.

I wish I could of got it done and be more active lately but such is life.

Can not wait to see what these brewers come up with. Keep us posted :)

Russ and I have been PMing pretty much daily since I posted the pairings. We've decided on style, and are tossing around ideas for ingredients. Still a lot of work to do, but I'm enjoying this tremendously so far, and I'm really looking forward getting this beer done.

For those who don't already know. Black Duck and I have posted our recipe in Advanced Recipes. We're both brewing it this weekend so it'll be ready for Christmas.(we hope)

I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber

BeerRust and I have got our recipe down, and will probably both brew it next weekend. A Cascadian Dark Ale, and I'm really eager to taste this! I'm hoping it becomes another regular entry in the Fedora Brauhaus rotation. I think this particular collaboration was a very good one, and I hope Russ feels the same.

I haven't heard from BeerRust since before I brewed the Black Hops, which was a week ago. Curious. But I've got my beer in the carboy, and I think it's gonna be a good one. I hope he's brewed his (or will be brewing it soon), and that he has great success with it. I really have a good feeling about this, and there's a good chance it could make it into the rotation at Fedora Brauhaus.

I've got another week (well, six days) and then I'll bottle the Black Hops. Gotta remember to dry hop Thursday night. Oddly, my partner, BeerRust, seems to have disappeared. We were PMing regularly while we hammered out this recipe, but he's been MIA since late September, it seems.

I hope nothing bad has happened, and it's just Life getting in the way of the important stuff, like brewing and posting on the Borg.

Anyway, I'm thinking this is gonna be a good Black IPA (or Cascadian Dark Ale, or whateverthehellyouwannacallit). I love it when a plan comes together! I also love it when I can add another great recipe to the house rotation.

I hope everyone else who participated in this recent RCE is getting good results. I can't wait to read about the First Pours! Thanks for getting involved, guys.

Be sure to post your reviews! I'm bottling the Black Hops next Saturday, and I'll probably have a review by Thanksgiving.

Hey Dave, got really busy with things. I should be able to get to it next week. I have a couple of other brews in my line up first. I got to one yesterday, but the LHBS was out of the things I needed for this one.

No problem, partner. I understand when life gets in the way. I bottled it this afternoon, and I really think it turned out good. I can't wait to taste the finished, conditioned product! If I'm really happy with it, I may bulk it up to a 5-gallon batch, and get it kegged and on tap.
