Hanson (the 90's teen band) Brewing Beer?

Post by Funky Skunk Brewing »

So my wife and I are eight days out from our holiday to Disney World and I see this posted today about the Food & Wine Festival that is going on at EPCOT this year. Hanson, the brothers that had some teen band back in the 90's apparently are now brewing beer and it will be at the festival. A joke if you ask me and some lame attempt to stay in the spot light I guess.

And they are calling it Mmm Hops ... An idiotic play on their "hit" song back in the day Mmm Bop.

I remember posting something about this on the Mr. Beer forum long ago but completely forgot about it.
I also remember reading about some other actors and notables that homebrew. They are out there!

I had heard about this but figured it was a hoax because it seemed too weird. Now knowing it's reality, it seems even more weird.

I like how a food editor said this about the beer..."Very Drinkable" and "A great starter beer". I think that's the nice way of saying..."your beer sucks, I almost spit it out on the first taste".

What exactly does "a great starter beer" mean anyway???

Enjoy your trip! My wife and I love going to Disney for the Food and Wine festival time period. During that period starts the Halloween fun at Magic Kingdom as well. They run the "mickey's not so scary halloween party" which is a blast for kids and adults. They ahve multiple areas throughout magic kingdom with areas to stop and get candy, just like trick or treating. No beer in Magic Kingdom though. Love the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot too. I usually end up pretty much done after Germany :)

In food speak, I believe it just means it goes good with (typical) appetizers. You'd have to consult with a Cicerone to pair it well with an entry.

Thanks, D Rabbit ... I'm sure we will :D :D

I thought it was B.S. as well until it was on a actual Disney site and they would be at the food and wine festival. I may have to try this "drinkable, good starter beer" and sing some Mmm Hop into the evening. On second thought .... Mmm Nope, I'm good. I'll drink good beer and sample some great food.
