New Orleans On Tap
Going to an SPCA sponsored, local beer club co-sponsored event later today. Even the boss is going because dogs are invited too!

I didn't have anything good enough to enter in the competition and really didn't even know about this until about 5 weeks ago but next year, I think I'll get into things. I really need to get my beers into some competition to step up my game and get outside my beer-box.

Have fun!
And I agree with your decision to get into a competition frame of mind, even if it's only a couple of batches, and one competition. It just makes you shut off the auto-pilot and really concentrate on what you're doing.

Crowded but disorganized. Still, some good beers. A brewery 25 miles away from me won my taste buds. 7 Sisters IPA. They don't bottle and can't sell on my side of the lake. Gonna keep this one in my view.
Sadly, Parish Ghost was gone in the first 90 minutes! WTF? What were they thinking.
Good music, good beer and lots to look at......if'n you know what I mean.

Not surprised Ghost was gone so quickly given how good it was. Unless they just didn't bring very much. At the last local beerfest in June here Ballast point ran out in 60 minutes. Not because everybody loved them so much, because they only brought a case of cans to pour. Again, WTF?
Re: New Orleans On Tap
Lagunitas was nowhere to be found but the big pleaser was Mystery Romp which is a coffee stout/porter/black IPA whatever but it's always, and I mean always, out of this freaking world.
Too bad it's not in bottles or I'd have even more far away friends.
The homebrew area was good too. Imperial Galactic IPA was dank, dank , dank and I could bathe in it. But, I tasted some homebrew beers that made me realize, I'm not too bad a homebrewer. I think I could kick some these in a competition. And I don't even like myself.

Paul, we've been trying to tell you, your beers aren't as bad as you beat yourself up over. If you have any you don't like, please send them my way. I'll sing your praises all the way to the bathroom.

I think soon I'll be sending some crap your way and if you love me, and be honest, you'll tell me not to give up but keep trying.
I need to step up my game a bit.

Looks like too many beers. I remember assuming that position (less the dog) in college a few to many times.

Nope, just giving the knee a rest. See how swollen the left knee is? Charlie was tired and busy humping many dogs of many sizes. I humped nothing!

It's the truth, ya know, the knee thing is slowing my game down.Kealia wrote:Beer-lord wrote:I humped nothing!

But, all the dogs were very nice looking.....if you know what I mean.
Charlie's worried he looks fat in that picture but he wants you to know he's in great shape.
