Forget about beard yeast!

Post by FedoraDave »

I wanna brew with prehistoric whale yeast!

Very interesting article and accompanying video. I especially like the conclusion. Beer is life! Let's drink to life, my brewing brothers and sisters! :fedora: :fedora:

TO LIFE!
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

My beer friend Jeff Mello from Bootleg Biology is doing the same thing here in the Nashville area with a T-Rex bone. Pretty fun stories...

Oh the jokes that come to my head with this story. Could have lots of laugh but I'm staying out of it.
But, I've heard this for years and really believe it. I've heard the Indians used V-yeast as well and I'm pretty sure I've heard Sam from DogFish Head mention this before.
Me, I'm partial to 001 myself.
