Saw it elsewhere and it made me laugh -

Post by Kealia »

Mentioned as being seen over a urinal in a brewery:

"Please flush twice. It's a long way to St. Louis"

(Stolen from HBT thread - but made me actually laugh out loud when I read it)

Hey, aren't you from California where wasting water is illegal?
I think you have to follow the "if it's yellow, let it mellow. If it's brown, flush it down" rule, right?

It's old, but still funny.

Never mind, there it is.

I say that about Paul, too. :muahaha:

Still, it made me laugh. I'm not into bashing people's choice of beers, but it was funny nonetheless. I can just as easily make fun of the homebrewer that ferments his triple-hopped, donkey-balls dunkel with his dirty socks just so it gets infected.

Now there's two funnies here that made me laugh. The OP and the "donkey-balls dunkel"

I saw a sign over a urinal in some bar in Colorado back in '79.

Please don't throw your cigarette butts in the urinal. As they get soggy and hard to light.
"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Or the old stand-by:

"Stand closer. It's smaller than you think."
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.
