We're finally learning about beer!
Finally and thank the beer gods that Lagunitas bottles have arrived and should be arriving regularly. My local grocery is greatly improving their beer selection and I know the guy who is in charge. Saw him at the last homebrew meeting and he said he was only going to have a case of Sumpin Sumpin this weekend and held me some.
Yummy, yummy, yummy I'm gonna have Sumpin Sumpin in my tummy. It can't cool fast enough.

It's almost a shame that it's 7.5% as I want to drink them all now!
Never brewed this and have seen a ton of recipes. I know one of the Borg has the recipe and I think sent it to me long ago but it's gone and I forgot who it was. Might have to revisit it one day. Oh how the list grows.

That someone may have been me. I did a Sumpin clone quite some time ago. Back when we were on the MB forum and I was using QBrew. Maybe I can go back there and find it.

That Little Sumpin' Sumpin' is one heckuva good beer. If I had to pick a go-to commercial beer on pain of death, that might be the one I'd choose. I'd never turn one down, that's fer sure.

From what I recall....yea, I would brew that again. It's been quite a while, but I do remember it being pretty good.Beer-lord wrote:Would you brew it again?

Re: We're finally learning about beer!
There is a big bottle of "Lagunitas Sucks" at my local grocery that I've been eyeing...
Re: We're finally learning about beer!
Looks like we're only going to get LSS and IPA. I don't think we are ever going to get the seasonals but I guess if these 2 sell, they might.
I've heard that they have every state asking for their beer and they can't make enough so we do get a pittance. A number of pubs have already had their kegs but I guess it's a wait and see for us.
I've only had 1 Sucks and it most certainly does not!

As I recall it Chris, you got the idea to brew LSS when you, BeerRx, and I met at that vegan bar and exchanged beer. I've never brewed a LSS clone so I know it wasn't me.

Your right. The link I posted actually has both of you making comments regarding that visit.LouieMacGoo wrote:As I recall it Chris, you got the idea to brew LSS when you, BeerRx, and I met at that vegan bar and exchanged beer. I've never brewed a LSS clone so I know it wasn't me.
I wonder what ever happened to BeerRx. He was a nice guy. That was a great night of food and beers.

No bacon....but the best vegan bratwurst you'll ever have. If I didn't know it wasn't vegan, I would have never known. And I'm a meatatarian!!!!!
