Pacman yeast for apple cider

Post by duff »

Has anybody tried using Pacman yeast in their cider? A friend of mine gave me some pasteurized cider and a packet of Mangrove Jack's M44 which he was told is a dry version of the Pacman yeast. I haven't used any of the Mangrove Jack's yeast but I can't find anybody else that seems to have used it for cider.

I will probably give it a go this weekend just to see what it tastes like. I haven't quite figured out a recipe to use but it seems a few people have been adding either frozen concentrate or sugar to up the alcohol content. What do you think about adding frozen concentrate?
