Naked Curiosity...........

Post by Inkleg »

.......(I know I posted this , but it's not what you think it is :p )..............won 2nd place in a photo shoot. Jody, my wife, budding photographer and sexy as hell woman, entered a photo contest put on by a large well known photography store in Atlanta. Out of over 300 entries and 65 chosen for the show, her photo took 2nd. This was one of the shots she took while we were helping our friend with the Sphynx cats while she was caring for her husband who was battling cancer. The photo is 16 x 24, called Naked Curiosity and is just fantastic. We love you Judy!

Oh wow, that is a shot of shots.
Any way we can get the file of the shot? I can understand, since it won, that might be a problem but I'd love to you that picture as wallpaper on my computer.
Yes, I am strange that way.
Congrats to Judy for an awesome shot.

I was mighty concerned when I read the title of this thread, but am relieved by the ultimate content. Congrats Inky and Mrs. Inky.

Well done! Congratulations on an outstanding photo, and a well-deserved podium spot.

I'd ask for a copy of it, but Duncan might get jealous.

Based on the title, I thought this thread was going to have something to do with showering with beer.

Let the record show that I clicked on it IN SPITE OF that fact, not because of it. ;)

Great shot by Jody, BTW!

Re: Naked Curiosity...........and what the judge said.

Post by Inkleg »

Thanks for all the wonderful posts everyone. My wife gets tickled every time I read her one.

The judges description under the picture reads.

Exotic. A wonderful capture. The lines and curves in the image bring the viewer back to the center. View is "photographically" from "first person" - in the eyes of the person in the image.
Technically well done - the flash brings out detail and texture. The shape of the shoes adds repetition to the shape of the ears! Excellent!

Neither of us had noticed the slipper shape until we read this.

Wonderful, shot. Congratulations. I'm an AMATEUR photographer, but do have a love for it and appreciation for what it takes to get "the shot". (You'd never know it from the crappy cell photos of beer I post, I know).

Being able to both see and capture the moment is an incredible talent. Good for her, you should both be very proud.
