RCE Beer - Black Hops update

Post by FedoraDave »

I did the dry hop when I got home from work today, as I'm going to bottle this on Saturday. Took a gravity sample, and I hit the FG right on the screws.

It's not quite black; it's very dark, allowing some light in at the edges, and showing a very deep brown. The taste is great! The blend of specialty grains makes it roasty and "chewy", but not overly so, and it balances with the hops very well. The finish stays with you, too, which is a great treat, since other aspects of the specialty grains come through.

I am looking forward to this! :jumpy:
