An eventful day

Post by FedoraDave »

Well, eventful for SWMBO and my darling daughter.

The Missus took a train into NYC (for the first time solo, which is a big step for her) to meet the daughter (aka The Torte, aka Berg) and do some more wedding dress shopping.

Well, aside from the adventure of braving Gotham alone, the really big news is that Berg decided on her dress! It was one she'd sorta liked when she looked at it this summer, but still liked aspects of other ones she'd seen. But this time, the trial dress was fitted a little better, and she actually cancelled her other appointments after seeing herself.

And SWMBO got weepy, and it was a touching moment, and everything is lovely, and while all this was going on The Bhoy-o and I watched college football and I bottled a batch of beer and drank homebrew and we ordered pizza for dinner.

Win-win. :D

Sounds like to me you had a real good day. Don't worry about what the women folk do, they do their own thing anyways. You and the Bhoy-0 watched some football, ate some pizza, drank a beer or two and bottled some beer. How can it get much better then that. Life is good... :D

I needed a good afternoon, because I had to work this morning, and it was not good. Stupid scheduling snafus.

I didn't really have a dog in the fight, Jeff. But it was football, so we watched it. Honestly, I'm more pleased that my daughter found a wedding dress that she's happy and satisfied with.
