Drinking anything special on Halloween?

Re: Drinking anything special on Halloween?
Dunno. I usually drink whatever the former Pred who does adult as well as child Trick or Treat hands me (which usually means Molson, because he's Canadian and all). But maybe I should think about this a bit. Dead Guy would definitely be on my list, but may also consider Unibroue Maudite or Ommegang Scyth & Sickle, because I like all three beers, and they all have a nice Halloween-ish theme goin' on. If I had any local access to Great Lakes, Nosferatu would be on my list as well. I may have to hit the beer store tomorrow and pick up one of these three. I really wish I liked pumpkin beers, because I keep almost picking up New Holland Ichabod because I really like the label...

Unfortunately with no Michigan beers on the list, it may have to be a Rumpkin to pair with my peanut butter cups. But, am half tempted to get some Founders Breakfast Stout or Bells Expedition Stout. The wife did pick me up some Dirty Bastard, but I think she is expecting me to save that for Saturday''s c-o-l-d tailgate to go with the cider and Cap'n Morgans.

We actually have trick or treat tonight instead of tomorrow night. And I will be drinking a Black Rajah IPA from Brew Kettle. It's not really a Halloween theme....but it is black!!!

I used to always have Rogue Dead Guy Ale as well at whatever halloween party I attended but I haven't been able to find any of their go in the dark jugs this year.
Not sure what I'll end up taking instead.

Re: Drinking anything special on Halloween?
What can I say? We are lushes!
No but seriously, its not as intense as it seems, we pour 5 ounce pours and taste over the course of the entire night 4-5 hours, so really it only works out to like a pint an hour give or take a few ounces.
Although Halloween might be a bit more than usual, one of the girl's coming tells me she got a bunch of beers for the tasting too...I'm up for the challenge!

Re: Drinking anything special on Halloween?
I'm taking Friday off, and I have errands to run, including getting a new CO2 bottle for the keezer and taking a trip to the LHBS for Sunday's brew day.
I won't be drinking anything special, although Friday night is bowling league night, and I always have two or three Muddy Creek Lagers during the evening.

I got 2 bombers at $12 a piece (ouch), I'll probably hold the second one for News Years Eve
I had it last weekend at Beach Brewing's 4th anniversary celebration, and I have to say, it is one of the most complex and interesting beers I've ever tasted. You can read more about this 13% bourbon barrel aged American strong ale here:
