Paul...I thought the dates were arriving on Friday the 30th and departing on Tuesday the 3rd? I am working on getting a tour set up at Yazoo.

For reference, here are times that we need to be aware of...



IN THE BREWERY DISTRICT:

Yazoo
Taproom:
Wednesday through Friday from 4-8pm
Saturdays from 12-6 pm

Tours (bookable on the website):
Wednesday through Friday at 5p and 6p (the weekday 5p ones are the best, IMHO, because they are generally "working" tours)
Saturday: on the half hour from 12:30 until 5p

I can talk to Neil, Alan or Linus about an off hours tour or whatever... just let me know if you want me to reach out. I have done tons of work for them (labelling, festivals, hop picking, etc.) and have a good relationship with many on their staff.


TN Brew Works:
Taproom:
Thursday 4-8PM, Friday 4-8PM, Saturday 2-8PM, Sunday 2-6PM

Tours:
I used to have a great contact here, but she has since moved on. But they are great folks over there, so I'm sure we can work something out here. They have my favorite taproom layout in town.


Jackalope:

Thursday: 4-10PM
Friday: 4-8PM
Saturday: 12-8PM
Sunday: 2-6PM

Tours:
Saturdays at 2:30, 3:30, 4:30, 5:30

I have done volunteer shifts on their canning line, so I probably could approach them about off hours tours if need be.

I don't think that any of these offer scheduled tours. Blackstone has at times (one of three tours I've done in town), but I don't see a schedule anywhere. I can reach out to one of the Blackstone guys. Fat Bottom used to do something as well, but their facility is crazy small (as is Czann's and Turtle), so the other ones might be better tours.

Kix Brooks' Arrington Vineyards is in the same direction as Turtle Anarchy, Cool Springs Brewery, Granite City.

Monday - Thursday 11am - 8pm (You'll note this is the only Monday hours on anything outside of the brewpubs)
Friday & Saturday 11am - 9pm
Sunday 12 - 8pm

Tours are available Monday through Friday on reservation basis.


OUTSIDE OF NASHVILLE (HOUR OR MORE):

If we want a day trip, Calfkiller would be fun, and they do Saturday tours. The brothers are quite unique, but it's 1.5 hours away so likely out of range. Other road trip tours would be Dickel (1.25 hours) and Jack Daniel (1.5 hours).

I know that Nashville Brew Bus has done day trips out to the Calfkiller brewery before, as well as tours around the Nashville breweries, but I don't know the cost involved. They have a big bus that's too big for our purposes, but they also offer a mini bus that's likely our size. There are some other distilleries in town that I can research hours, etc. I just am not as familiar with them...

I have the most solid contacts at the following: Yazoo, Jackalope, Cool Springs Brewery. I have pretty good contacts at Black Abbey as well, and also some less solid contacts (I know people, but I don't know them as well as the others) at Corsair, Turtle and Blackstone. I can reach out to any of these, and any of them that I don't have direct contacts at as well.

I'll also note that I think Corsair is a good target if people are interested in a distillery tour, since they are a distillery and also a small brewery (with a great brewer), and have a great taproom of local and regional craft beers (as well as their own) and a separate spirits taproom. Trivia: It's the old Yazoo location before they had to expand. There are also shops and a music venue in the same complex (who knows if there will be a show), and also the American Pickers store, for those that are interested in that.

Finally, I don't know if we have civil war buffs in the group, but Franklin is a great civil war history town. One of the biggest, bloodiest battles in the war was fought here. There is a battlefield, Carnton Plantation, Carter House, downtown tours, and plenty others to tour. This is also the town that is the home of Turtle Anarchy, Cool Springs Brewery, Arrington Vineyards, and Granite City brewpub. If anyone is interested, I can make some suggestions on that front.

Lots of great non-beer in Nashville as well. Music, of course, incl Country Music HOF, Musicians HOF, Johnny Cash museum, Hatch Show Print, Ryman, Gibson Guitar, etc., but also history and culture, incl. Parthenon, Lane Motor Museum, Frist Center for the Arts, Railway museum (I have contacts here... I'm assuming that we'd not want to invest a day, but they do day long rail and wine tours), etc.

I would think that a day/evening in the brewery district would be good fun, with maybe a tour at Yazoo and/or another brewery. I would also think that an evening in the entertainment district would be fun also, hitting the rooftop bar at Rock Bottom and/or a craft bar or two while in that area. Another afternoon could be used to explore some of the breweries and/or distilleries outside the district, with maybe a Corsair (or other distillery) tour. Depending on interests of all, a day doing the history stuff mixed with breweries in that area would work, or whatever people are interested in. And also a homebrew sharing session is mandatory.

And... there should be a hot chicken outing. Be it a [urlhttps://www.facebook.com/pages/Princes-Hot-Chic ... 7846802728]traditional shack[/url] in the bad part of town, or the cleaned up version that is Hattie B's, this should be a part of any Nashville tour.

I can vouch for the Civil War history stuff outside of Franklin...it really is cool.

But damn Swen, you've got to quit with the lists of stuff to do, we are only gonna be there for a couple of days. It would take us a week to cover half of the fun stuff your recommending. It's goind to be hard to whittle all the ideas down to a few.
