Three years ago my bro and I each invested in trail cameras to set up on the private land that we hunt in N. MN. He only lives about a half hour away where as I live about five. So he went out a week later (during the ruffed grouse season) to check on the cameras.

Apparently some one else had more need of them than we did.

Won't buy them again.
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

Seems to be a problem here too. Lots of them get stolen, that's why I have a cheapie.

Somebody told me once that the anti-hunters like to go out looking for them and steal them to try to deter our hunting.

Need to hide a few just pervin' on the other cameras. then you know who your next "hunt" will be.
The Nong Brewery defines "Fermentation" as: Making "Rot" a Good Thing

I was thinking the exact same thing Dag. Catch the culprit(s) with another camera and out them on You Tube or somewhere.

Or tell the cops they stole ten when they only took three and make them pay where it hurts - in the wallet.

@FIT I had a HUGE buck in the front yard this am but by the time I got back with a camera he was gone; he should be around for a while so maybe I can get a pic.

Have friends in our campground that kept having vandalism on their site, they had an idea who it was, but they were supposedly great friends of theirs. Accompanied them on trips, family get togethers, etc..., well put up a trail cam and caught his great "friend" the psychopath on the roof of their camper slamming a log thru one of the vents in the roof!

Well he's an elusive bugger but I got one pic of him at least. I saw him crossing my mom's big picture window and ran back to my side for the camera. When I stepped out the door I heard the rattling of horns against wood and snuck (sp?) around the corner as he was wandering into the side lot.

He's in the shade here and I don't know how to do the antler points thing but I can tell you he's a big brute.

And here is what he did to my mom's planted X-mas tree (this isn't the first time a buck has targeted that tree).

Oh, I see the pics are named after the beer pics I'd taken a few minutes earlier. Oh well.

I hope these people rewarded this dog big time. The dog demonstrated that he is watching their child and that he will rescue their child if needed.

That's awesome Gymrat, and you are right.

I have a neighbor with Newfoundland's, who trains them specifically for water rescue.

"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."
