I would recommend trying some aquarium grade silicone adhesive sealant.losman26 wrote:Update-
Is there such thing as a food grade glue that might work?

I'm asking a serious question y'all. I notice everyone is either looking @ temp patches or flat replacing the keg. Is there a reason for not getting it re-welded?

I know next to nothing about welding but I'm thinking for a used keg, it's just not worth it. I thought he just wanted to fix it so that it would last until empty but if he wants to keep it, then I guess if he can find someone to do it cheap, that's a good plan.

My thoughts are that with a weld you will no longer have the smooth surface and thus it may harbor bugs which in that case it would not be worth it.jimjohson wrote:jimjohson wrote:Why can't you just take it to a shop and have them re-do the weld? (after it's empty)

About the only way would be tig welding and getting minimal penetration, just enough to discolor the inside, but enough to actually seal.
